Therefore CANON stimulates the creative school practice. With stories by and from schools. With money for concrete projects. And with a specific and well chosen offer of publications and methods.

Agency for Educational Communication
CANON is a unit of the Agency for Educational Communication. The Agency takes care of the external communication in the field of education and formation. In view of an intense commitment and participation, the agency informs different target groups about the educational policy.

One of the main objectives of the CANON Cultural Unit is to stimulate research on arts and cultural education. In that respect professor Anne Bamford reviewed the Flemish educational system in 2006-2007. The results of her research, the Bamford Report, can be found here

ACEnet (EU-wide network of civil servants arts and cultural education)
CANON is a member of the ACEnet.
This is a network of European civil servants working in the field of arts and cultural education and was established in 2002. The goal of the network is to enable civil servants working in the field of arts and cultural education policy to find out what is happening within the member states of the EU (exchange of information) and to share insights and experiences with each other (debate on content). Content-related discussions are held during periodical meetings.
